Ingram, 1816 - 1885, Gunmaker,  
 son of John Ingram ( c1780 - c1836 ). Established the oldest gunmaking business in Glasgow in 1832. His
weapons enjoyed a high reputation throughout Scotland and beyond.  
      "Old Charley" as he was known, was also a highly respected marksman, a regular attender at rifle meetings and a frequent prizewinner. Was a sergeant in the 1st Lanarkshire Volunteer Rifles. Won several trophies for shooting. His
rifle held the world record  for scoring 25 consecutive bulls-eyes at 800yds. He
held the post of armourer  
      with the West of Scotland Rifle Association for many years.  |

 Gunmaker, married to Maria Earl. Was
Armourer Sergeant  in the Scots Greys stationed in Wiltshire. Started
gunmaking in Glasgow
in 1831  at 13 Eglinton Street.
